Spy Games

For those of you who have not yet discovered a means of how fast the processing of your computer is to the units received from Berkeley, there is a free program with options that allow you to see where you are in the process, how long it will take to complete the unit and also the speed of your processor compared to other other processors.

It is called seti spy. You may check the progress of a unit at any time with this program.

Alaskan eagles

No other bird signifies the strength and character of the American people as does the bald eagle. This bird is protected by the government of the United States and has its’ largest sanctuary here in Alaska.

I have had many sightings of this majestic bird. I can recall when I first came to Alaska, I went to an area here in Juneau called the Mendenhall Glacier. I was intent on taking pictures of the glacier when I saw an eagle, wings spread going around in huge circles. I said to myself lets wait until he comes down to get a really great picture...

I came away sadder but wiser. The two eagles I was watching were riding a warm layer of air and eventually soared higher and higher until they were almost out of sight.

There is a saying, eagles do not flock, you must find them one, by one. However, in Haines Alaska, there is an eagle sanctuary where as many as 1000 eagles gather annually.
